News Digest, June 2026: Test Run, Sentiment, and a Mobile Version

A few notable updates shipped in Gista News Digest over the past two weeks: you can preview a digest before its scheduled send, see the sentiment of news in stats, and set everything up comfortably from a phone. Here's what changed.
Test Run: preview your digest before the scheduled send
A Test Run button is now on every digest page. Click it and within a few minutes you'll get a preview in Telegram — same news, same layout, same filtering as a regular run, just labeled "🧪 Test Run" and without affecting the schedule. The next planned send still comes at its normal time.
This is useful when setting up a new digest: you don't have to wait until morning to check that the interest fields and the significance threshold work as intended. The button shows live progress — "Starting", "Collecting posts", "Done (N delivered)" — right on the page.
Sentiment and "Noise" in stats
The post table on the stats page now shows a sentiment badge below each headline: Negative, Neutral, or Positive. The model assigns it separately from the importance score (IW) — how significant a story is doesn't depend on its tone.
The funnel also gained a "Noise" metric — posts filtered out as irrelevant. If there's unexpectedly much or little noise, that's a quick signal the interest fields need refining.
Mobile version
The dashboard is now adapted for phones: you can configure a digest, add channels, or check stats from a mobile device without horizontal scrolling.
